One of the most haunted places in the world is Waverly Hills Sanatorium. It is said that people that visited the old uninhabited hospital have heard doors slamming, a child crying and seen a woman with bleeding wrists. They have also seen a hearse appear in the back of the hospital dropping off coffins. Many have seen lights in the windows even when the power was turned off.

The Sanitorium is in my hometown—Louisville, KY. There’s a little girl that sits in the corner and reads, a boy that tries to play ball with you, and in room 501 a nurse is in a constant loop where she hangs herself from the rafters. Waverly Hills was built in 1910 to care for all of the Tuberculosis victims during the ‘White Plague’ outbreak. Recently, plans have begun to move forward to renovate the building into a 4 star hotel.
